Request an itemized quote

Ask local shops to quote the same vehicle, covered panels, film brand and product code. Separate design work, printing, installation, paint preparation, trim removal, door jambs and taxes. Request an estimate for eventual removal as well. Prices vary by location and job; a single online number is not a reliable quote for your car.

What should an itemized quote show?. Ask what is included before comparing the final price. 1. Same vehicle: Use the exact year and generation. 2. Same coverage: Mark included and excluded panels. 3. Same material: Compare the exact film and finish.

Full wrap or selected accents?

Start with the change you actually want. A full color change, a hood accent and a chrome delete are different projects. Ask whether a partial option could achieve your preferred look, and compare how its edges and uncovered paint will appear from several angles.

Full coverage or selected accents?. Mark the covered panels before asking for a price. 1. Hood accent: Ask where the film edge will finish. 2. Side panels: List each panel in a partial design. 3. Full color change: Confirm remaining panels and jambs.

Check quality before booking

Review close-up photos of edges, corners and seams. Confirm that the film suits the surfaces involved, and get the product and workmanship warranties in writing. Be clear about existing repainting or damage before the installer inspects the car.

Use one brief for every quote

Give each shop the same photos, concept and coverage list. This helps distinguish a price difference from a difference in the proposed work. Ask who prepares the artwork and whether proof revisions are included. Leave time for vehicle inspection before accepting a final quote.

  1. Use the exact vehicle year and body generation.
  2. List full-body or partial coverage and door-jamb expectations.
  3. Ask about deposits, scheduling and the shop’s cancellation terms.
  4. Compare removal, preparation and warranties as well as installation.
